Police conduct operation: drugs seized

Over 46 kilograms of narcotics and psychotropic substances have been seized from illegal circulation in the Sabunchu district. As reported by Oxu.Az, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, suspects in drug trafficking were detained during operational activities conducted by officers of the district police department. 36-year-old Saddam Mammadov was found in possession of 15 kg of narcotics, 39-year-old Elchin Hajiyev and his 26-year-old acquaintance, Aykhan Abbasguliyev, were found in possession of 11 kg, and 25-year-old Hafiz Taghiyev was found in possession of approximately 20 kg of marijuana, heroin, and methamphetamine.

The detainees stated that they planned to deliver the drugs to various addresses in Baku for further distribution.

Criminal cases have been opened on these charges. A court has ordered the pretrial detention of all those detained.
