A man who stole jewelry worth 70,000 manat from an apartment detained

Police received information about the theft of jewelry worth 70,000 manat from a house in the Narimanov district of Baku.

According to Oxu.Az, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this.

As a result of operations carried out by officers from the 16th police department, 35-year-old Elguj Mammadov, a suspect in the crime, was detained.

The investigation revealed that he entered the apartment after learning that the victims were not home. After committing the theft, Mammadov, to avoid attracting attention, donned the homeowner’s jacket and fled the scene.

An investigation is underway.
