{"id":39820,"date":"2025-05-19T09:15:06","date_gmt":"2025-05-19T05:15:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iolr.org\/?p=39820"},"modified":"2025-05-19T11:16:20","modified_gmt":"2025-05-19T07:16:20","slug":"trial-on-the-case-of-embezzlement-of-millions-of-manats-in-the-ministry-of-defense","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iolr.org\/?p=39820&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Trial on the case of embezzlement of millions of manats in the Ministry of Defense"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">A trial was held on the appeal against the court verdict against the former head of the Financial and Budget Department of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, Major General Nizami Mammadov, the former head of the Air Force Financial Service, Colonel Jalal Kazimov, the head of the Financial Department of the Ground Forces Bayram Bayramov and the former head of the Financial Service of the Navy Vusal Alizade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">As reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/ru.apa.az\/proisshestvie\/po-ukazaniyu-nadzmeddina-sadykova-bylo-peredano-800-tys-manatov-sud-o-xishheniyax-na-milliony-manatov-v-minoborony-azerbaidzana-610713\">APA<\/a>, at the hearing in the Baku Court of Appeal chaired by Judge Ibrahim Ibrahimli, the lawyer of the accused Vusal Alizade filed a motion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The lawyer filed a motion to assign his client a more lenient punishment compared to the sanction of Article 62, since his client compensated 50 percent of the damage.
