On 17 August 2016 the Baku Court of Appeal considered the appeal filed against the verdict on imprisoned REAL executive secretary Natig Jafarli.

Attorney Javad Javadli told APA that the court denied the appeal on changing the verdict on his pretrial detention.

On 12 August, 2016 Jafarli was called to the Investigation Department for Grave Crimes of the Prosecutor General’s Office. Then he was taken to Nasimi district court that sentenced him to four months’ pretrial detention.

He is charged with illegal business (Article 192) and abusing official powers (Article 308). 

A resident of Absheron District was detained on the fact of sexual exploitation of women, APA reports.

As result of operational search actions conducted by the Main Department to Combat Human Trafficking on the facts of sexual exploitation of women in Turkey was detained Maira Hasanova, a resident of Absheron District.

Agency notes that she was previously convicted.
