It has completed an investigation on criminal case, instituted in respect of A. Insanov, a former minister of health of Azerbaijan, haqqin.az citing Trend and T. Babayev, a lawyer of a former minister.
The lawyer noted that investigation completed and the case transmitted to a court to be familiarized. “Now we are familiarizing with case-file: the process of familiarization with materials of the case-file will be completed to the end of the week, and they will be sent to a court for consideration”, – said the lawyer.
On 11 October 2016 Garadag District Court made a decision on extension of the arrest for three months.
On 11 January 2017 Garadag District Court made a decision to prolong an arrest for more two months and on 3 March 2017 – for one month more.
On 24 August 2016 new criminal case was instituted in respect of A. Insanov. The case was initiated under the Article 234.1 (Illegal purchase or storage without a purpose of selling of narcotics or psychotropic substances in a quantity (amount) exceeding necessary for personal consumption), 315.2 (Application of violence, resistance with application of violence concerning the representative of
authority in connection with performance of official duties by him or application of the violence not dangerous to life or health concerning his close relatives, as well as threat of application of such violence) and 317.2.1 (Threat on application of violence concerning employees of criminal – executive establishments or investigator isolators, and also concerning condemned with a purpose to prevent his correction or from revenge for execution of public duties by him).
