On the basis of the information received the officers of Khatai District Police Department detained as suspects a resident of Baku, previously convicted Afghan Nagiyev and a resident of the Shabran district Sarhan Mammadov.
According to APA cited the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the search the police seized 4 counterfeit denominations of 50 manat denomination and 4 face value of 20 manats, as well as 0.439 grams of heroin. The detainers said in their testimony that they had been given a note by some Vusal with the purpose of selling.
Based on this testimony, the employees of the Khatai DPD also detained a resident of the settlement of Yeni Surakhany, by Vusal Jumshudov, who was previously convicted .
In the apartment of the detainee the police were found special equipment for printing counterfeit notes, a large number of counterfeit banknotes and other material evidence.
The detainees admitted that they intended to sell counterfeit money in shopping centers, places of close congestion in the capital and districts of the republic.
A criminal case was opened in the investigation department of the Khatai District Police Department, an investigation is being continued.
