Does “Haaretz” tell lie?

An assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for foreign policy issues Novruz Mammadov refuted information of the Haaretz, Israeli newspaper that a family of the head of the Azerbaijani state has invested a big funds in Israel.

In his statement made to AzerTAc, Novruz Mammadov called this information false and defamatory.

“The Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz has repeatedly published insinuations about Azerbaijan, its domestic and foreign policies. But as the next lie and slander are directed against the family of the President of Azerbaijan, it is necessary to express our attitude to this.

The biggest concern is that this information has been published with reference to the Minister of Tourism of Israel Yarev Levin.

The article says that over the past few months, the President’s family has acquired real estate in Israel and invested significant funds there. At the same time, it is reported that the president’s son has allegedly been in Israel in recent months. The truth is that the president’s son has not been to Israel not only in the specified months, but has never visited this country at all”, Novruz Mammadov said.

“Similar publications in the Israeli press are causing regret, contrary to the very spirit of relations between our countries”, Novruz Mammadov said, Being added that the Israeli embassy or Minister Yarev Levin himself must express his attitude to this publication.
