An official of the Ganja City United Hospital was arrested, APA reports, citing information disseminated by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the information, as a result of operational search activities carried out in connection with the illegal actions of Vidadi Huseynov, Makhabbat Abdullayev and other officials of the public legal entity “Ganja City United Hospital”, a criminal case was opened in the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office articles of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic, an investigation is underway.

As part of the criminal case, Makhabbat Abdullayev and Vidadi Huseynov were brought to justice as defendants, they were charged under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, by the decision of the court, which considered the petition of the investigator and the presentation of the prosecutor in charge of the procedural management of the preliminary investigation, a preventive measure was chosen against both accused in the form of house arrest.

The Baku Court of Appeal satisfied the appeal protest of the prosecutor, who carried out the procedural management of the preliminary investigation, to replace the preventive measure in the form of house arrest chosen against Makhabbat Abdullayev with arrest, and the house arrest of the accused was replaced with arrest.

The preliminary investigation into the criminal case continues.

Today, a court hearing on the criminal case of Ruslan Mikailov, Sanan Mashiev, Jabir Gahramanov and Elchin Aliyev, accused in the “Terter case,” was held at the Sumgayit Judicial Complex. As APA reports, at the trial chaired by judge of the Baku Military Court Zeynal Agayev, the completion of the judicial investigation was announced.

In his speech, the prosecutor requested 9 years and 10 months for Ruslan Mikailov and Sanan Mashiev, 8 years and 5 months for Jabir Gahramanov, and 7 years and 8 months in prison for Elchin Aliyev.

The trial in a criminal case against a person who committed large-scale fraud by posing as an employee of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan has ended, oxu.az reports. In the Ganja Grave Crimes Court, a resident of the village of Bum, Gabala region, Zameddin Hajiyev (born 1996), was sentenced. He was found guilty under articles 178.3.2 (Fraud causing large damage) and 310 (Misappropriation of powers of an official) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the investigation, it turned out that Z. Gadzhiev, while in military service, introduced himself to his comrades as a customs officer. The man, having been demobilized, came to Baku, where he purchased the official uniform of a customs officer for 110 manats and began wearing it illegally.

Z. Gadzhiev began to introduce himself as a responsible employee of the Personnel Department and the Investigation Department of the State Customs Committee. He took money from several of his friends under the pretext of getting a job. From the victims, Z. Hajiyev received funds in the amount of 2,000, 8,600, 11,000, 28,400, 17,825, 2,920 and 37,530 manats
