Employees of Main Customs Department on Air Transport have prevented an importation in Azerbaijan large amount of smuggled jewelries.
According to haqqin.az about that was said on 8 February 2017 by press service of the State Customs Committee. So, on the basis of received by the Department on Fight against Customs Offences information citizen of Azerbaijan flown flight from Istanbul to Baku after passing customs control zone was detained by employees of the Department and invited to a private room for a personal inspection.
Before inspection she was asked about the presence at her undeclared values to which she gave a negative answer. However, when customs officials have warned that for the inspection of her body will be invited medical worker, she said that this is not necessary and she will extract all the hidden objects in the internal organs.
Then, with the participation of witnesses citizen took and presented hidden, wrapped in cellophane jewelry, some of which were decorated with precious stones. In total are 11 rings, eight pairs of earrings, 12, single earrings, three pendant, three sets of earrings, a ring, two sets of necklace, bracelet, two sets of necklace, bracelet, earring, ring, necklace with pendant, seven, eight bracelets and 14 necklaces.
