Three tons of liquid heroin was detained in Georgia

According to BAKU.WS citing AZE.az, Georgian policemen detained two men in the border point who transported three tons of liquid heroin in a vehicle.

The MIA of Georgia informs that there has not been seized by law enforcement agencies such quantity of drugs. The drug substance contains 80% pure heroin. Its cost is hundreds millions of dollars. It reports that heroin was transported in 93 barrels with capacity 30 liters each.

On preliminary information, the vehicle has come from Azerbaijan Republic and directed to Turkey. Heroin was transported by two citizens of Georgia.

Meanwhile, according to Minval.az citing the APA, Tax Service under the Ministry of Finance of Georgia disseminated the statement, according to which the big quantity of the heroin detained few days ago delivered from Armenia, but not Azerbaijan.

According to the statement of A. Chikaidze, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the heroin produced in Afghanistan has been transported with transit from Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia and further to Europe.

The Head of Georgian MIA noted that the drugs missed out through border of Azerbaijan in frames of operational measures.

Let’s wait, what Azerbaijani border guards and customs officers will say.
