Court left the NIDA activist in custody

On the eve the Nasimi District Court of Baku rejected the petition ofZaur Gurbanly, an activist of the NIDA Youth Movement concerning replacing the measure of restraint from arrest into the home arrest.

A lawyer Khalid Bagirov told Turan that there were no any grounds to keep in custody of Gurbanly. There are no conducted any investigative actions in respect him, and accusation in illegal storage of explosive substances has no any proofs.

In addition, young man suffers from bronchial asthma and thalassemia and the detaing in an enclosed space worsens his state.

Despite address of the lawyer and relatives in different structures, there is not allowed to visit young man by trusted doctors.

Gurbanly is one of the seventh activists of the NIDA arrested in March-April.
