Azerbaijani MFA: If Armenian side needed Baku-sent cargo, it would not have demanded peacekeeping contingent to block road

In parallel with the use of the Aghdam-Khankandi road for the delivery of cargo to Armenian residents if necessary, instead of protesting the provocative actions of some representatives of Armenians who opposed the proposal to intensify traffic on Lachin road, we would like to remind the Prime Minister, who accused Azerbaijan of starving Armenian residents, that at present, trucks sent by the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society to Aghdam-Khankandi direction are waiting for the passage to Khankandi in the area, Ministry of Foreign Affair of Azerbaijan said in its commentary on the allegations made by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, APA reports.

“If the Armenian side really needed the transported cargo, they would not have prevented the passage of these cargoes to the territory by demanding the blocking of the road by the peacekeeping contingent,” said the Ministry.
