Azerbaijan Central Election Commission: Web cameras installed at 1,000 polling points

After the start of the election process, we begin to cooperate with the relevant structures; web cameras have already been installed in polling stations. As APA reports, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Rovzat Gasimov said this at today’s meeting of the Central Election Commission. He noted that web cameras have been installed in 1,000 polling stations, and the process of technical regulation is underway: “This process will be completed next week.”

Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazakhir Panahov clarified the question of whether fire safety webcams will be operational in polling stations that will open in schools on election day. He noted that on voting day only CEC cameras should be working in polling stations.

“However, the question arises – what will happen if a fire occurs? Voting lasts only one day, it is held in a small room, so I think that for the sake of this day you can take a risk. Only CEC webcams should work here,” he said.
