Azerbaijan extradited citizens of Uzbekistan put on the international wanted list

Citizens of Uzbekistan put on the international wanted list have been extradited to their homeland. APA reports that information about this was disseminated by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan.

It is reported that the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan satisfied the requests of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the extradition of citizens of this country Khasanov Siyavush Khalimovich (born 1985) and Abdurakhimov Sarvar Kamolitdinovich (born 1990) to bring to criminal responsibility the citizens of this country.

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, S. Khasanov and S. Abdurakhimov, accused of fraud and put on the international wanted list, were detained at Heydar Aliyev International Airport on March 6 of this year, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against them.

Based on the Convention “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases” dated October 7, 2002, decisions were made to extradite the accused and, accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan, they were transferred to the authorized bodies of Uzbekistan.
