A drug courier who planned to sell more than 50 kg of drugs was detained

Employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs detained a drug courier who planned to sell more than 50 kg of drugs, Report inroms citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He is a resident of the Astara district, Ibrahim Agayev (born 1993). During a personal search and at his residence address, a total of 43 kg of marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances, 3 kg of heroin and 5 kg of methamphetamine were discovered.

Agayev admitted that he purchased drugs from an Iranian citizen for the purpose of further sale in Azerbaijan. The identity of the Iranian citizen is currently being established by the investigation.

A criminal case has been opened regarding the fact, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest has been chosen against Agayev.
