Guantanamo’s prisoners against the USA

Prisoners of the US Guantanamo Bay detention camp, which has gone on hunger-strike few months ago in sign of protest against uncertainty of time and condition of their custody, has lodged a claim in the Federal court against their forced feeding by the detention camp’s officers. They believe that these actions violate their rights and medical ethics. It is stated in the claim that such practice will be able to violate their right in the holy month of Ramadan when they cannot be fed and drunk water until before sunset.

Hunger-strike of the Guantanamo prisoners began in February of this year. 106 men are participating in the hunger-strike to date; 44 men from 106 are compulsory feeding by the liquid nourishing mixtures. 166 men are in the jail, reports RIA Novosti.

But, in 2006, one of the prisoners submitted similar claim and Ministry of Justice had decided the forced practice of a feeding was humane, and plaintiff had exaggerated scales of his suffering.
