11 years imprisonment for cheating 100 people

On 25 July 2013, in Baku Court for Grave Crimes has completed trial of D. Imanova accused of deception by the fraudulent way more than 100 people. According to the Trend agency, the court chaired by A. Seyidov sentenced her to 11 years imprisonment.

According to the indictment, D. Imanova, presenting herself to victims as bank manager, cheated more than 100 people and appropriated two million manat. Mostly residents of Masalli, Jalilabad, Lankaran and Baku were her victims.

In addition, during two years in Baku Court of Grave Crimes has already been considered a case of D. Imanova, and, according to the forensic medical examination, she was found insane. Therefore, the court issued a guilty verdict, and found her sick. The court decided that D. Imanova committed crime under Article 178.3.2 (fraud) in a deranged state and in this regard, be exempt from criminal liability. It was decided that her forced treatment.

But, the court decision was appealed by the victims. In December 2012 Baku Appeals Court considered and satisfied their complaint. The Court reversed the decision of the insanity D. Imanova and suspended compulsory treatment. The court returned the case to the prosecutor for investigation.
