Arrest warrant for construction company director

Elman Taghiyev, the head of Birlik-İnşaat LLC and Hayan-E LLC, is charged under four articles of the Criminal Code, APA reports with reference to the Baku City Main Police Office.

Taghiyev Elman Hasangulu, 52, is charged under articles 178 (fraud), 308 (abuse of power), 319 (illegal change of the state border of Azerbaijan) and 213 (tax evasion) of the Criminal Code.  

Elman Taghiyev was the head of Birlik-İnşaat LLC and Hayan-E LLC is charged under four articles of the Criminal Code. He resold 210 apartments to 543 people, and in general, caused damage to citizens in the amount of AZN 10 million. In 2014, the Baku Court of Grave Crimes considered the criminal case opened against the illegal actions of Tagiyev and his entourage. But as Taghiyev left the country, the court decision on his was not fulfilled.
