MCIT’s chief of staff arrested

The chief of staff of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies Vidadi Zeynalov has been sentenced to 3-month pretrial detention under the court decision, APA reports.

An order has already been signed on Zeynalov’s dismissal from his post.

Zeynalov’s detention is reportedly related to the activity of the former head of Baku Telephone Communications Production Association Beytulla Huseynov who is the close relative of former minister of national security Eldar Mahmudov.

Huseynov was also dismissed from his post and sentenced to 3-month pre-trial detention.
