Armenian separatists arrested in Baku given opportunity to contact their families – Commissioner for Human Rights

“We regularly carry out visits. During the visits, meetings were also held with persons accused of committing war crimes against Azerbaijan. All their rights are guaranteed,” Sabina Aliyeva, the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, told journalists, APA reports.

“We treat every detained person with sensitivity. They were also given the opportunity to contact their families, and they were provided with an interpreter by the state,” the Ombudsperson noted.

Note that the law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan were the “presidents” of the so-called organization in Karabakh, Arkady Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, Araik Harutyunyan, former “foreign minister” David Babayan, as well as “parliament speaker” David Ishkhanyan, generals Lyova Mnatsakanyan, David Manukyan and former “Minister of State” Ruben Vardanyan was arrested and brought to Baku.
