Man accused of murdering three members of one family sentenced to life imprisonment

Another trial took place in the criminal case of Nofel Safarov, accused of killing three family members and wounding one person in the village of Buzovna, Khazar district of Baku. APA reports that the defendant’s lawyer spoke at the hearing chaired by Judge Leyla Askerova-Mamedova at the Baku Serious Crimes Court.

He asked to acquit his client. Then the accused Nofel Safarov asked the court for time for his last word. Judge Leyla Askerova-Mamedova gave him 15 minutes to prepare.

After this, the verdict was announced. The court sentenced N. Safarov to life imprisonment. It is noted that on November 29 last year at approximately 20:00 in the village of Buzovna, Khazar district of Baku, an unknown person killed Elbrus Muradov (born 1939), his wife Shakhira Muradova (born 1945) and their son Rakhil Muradov (born 1971) with a knife. .b.) and wounded E. Mamedov’s grandson Elbrus Agalarov (b. 1997). Based on this fact, the Khazar district prosecutor’s office opened a criminal case under articles 120.2.7, 120.2.11 and other articles of the Criminal Code.

During the investigation, grounds were identified for suspicion that the crime was committed by the family’s former son-in-law Nofel Safarov (born 1976) due to a personal conflict that arose between them.

As a result of operational search activities carried out by police officers, N. Safarov was detained as a suspect and handed over to the investigation.
