The judgement of the accused in the Tartar case was read out

The trial in the criminal case of Colonel Vusal Aleskerov, former chief of staff Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Niftaliev, retired military personnel Ramil Garayev and Rustam Aleskerov has ended, oxu.az reports. At the trial, chaired by Judge Jamal Ramazanov of the Baku Military Court, a verdict was read out, according to which R. Aleskerov was sentenced to nine years and six months, and R. Niftaliyev, V. Aleskerov and R. Garayev were sentenced to five years and six months in prison.

The prosecutor petitioned to sentence Vusal Aleskerov to 10 years in prison, Rustam Aleskerov – 12, Rashid Niftaliyev – nine and Ramil Garayev – eight years and six months.

As part of the “Terter case,” Vusal Aleskerov, Rustam Aleskerov and Ramil Garayev were charged under articles 145.3 (unlawful deprivation of liberty), 293.2 (torture committed by an official of a state body in connection with the performance of his official duties, or a person acting in this capacity, either with his instigation or consent, or by other persons with his knowledge), 341.2.2, 341.2.3 (abuse of official powers or exceeding them, committed with the use of weapons and resulting in grave consequences), Fuad Akhundov – in addition to the above articles, also under 127.2 .2 (intentional infliction of less serious harm to health with extreme cruelty) of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic.

By a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against them.
