An Iranian citizen was detained for violating the border and smuggling 6 kg of drugs

A person who tried to smuggle drugs into the country was detained, APA reports citing the press center of the State Border Service. Thus, on March 6, 2024 at 19:50, in the territory of the Goytepe border detachment, a violation of the state border was recorded by an unknown person from the Islamic Republic of Iran in the direction of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It was established that the detainee was a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran, born in 1983, Agamokhammed Tohid Mirmahabbatali; during a search, 6 kilograms 275 grams of narcotic drugs (4 kg 995 g of methamphetamine, 1 kg 280 g of marijuana) were found and seized from him.
