Four people detained for selling weapons and drugs

Persons suspected of selling weapons and drugs were detained in the Nasimi district of Baku. As Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, in the course of measures carried out on the basis of operational information received from employees of the Nasimi District Police Department, a previously convicted resident of the city of Baku, Rovshan Fatullayev, born in 1965, was detained.

A Kalashnikov assault rifle, an ammunition magazine and 11 rounds of ammunition were found and confiscated from him. According to R. Fatullayev, he kept the weapon with him with the intention of selling it.

During other operations carried out by department employees, Gadir Huseynov, born in 1998, Nazim Abilov, born in 1967, and Asif Yagubaliev, born in 1979, were detained. They were found in possession of a total of 4 kilograms of heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana.

An investigation into these facts continues.
