The preliminary investigation into the criminal case of the former Minister of Health Ali Insanov, who was under arrest, was completed.
According to APA cited his lawyer Togrul Babayev that the criminal case was sent to the Garadagh District Court. The date of the hearings will be known in the nearest days.
APA notes that few years ago a new criminal case was instituted against A. Insanov. The former minister has been charged under articles 234.1. (Illegal acquisition or storage without the purpose of selling narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances in an amount exceeding that necessary for personal consumption), 315.2. (Use of violence dangerous to life or health, against a representative of the government in connection with the performance of his official duties, or the use of violence against his near relatives that is not dangerous to life or health, as well as the threat of such violence), 317-2.1. (Manufacturing, harboring, transportation or use of prohibited items kept in correctional institutions or pre-trial detention centers, with the repeated commission of the same acts).
Ali Insanov was arrested in October 2005. In 2007, with decision of the Baku Court for Grave Crimes A. Insanov was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
