Prosecutor’s General Office institutes criminal case against a head of the construction company that has sold one flat to few customers, reports haqqin.az with reference to the press-service of Prosecutor’s General Office.

Main Department for combat to corruption is continuing investigatory actions on the case of Ch. Mammadov, a director of Ideal-I Construction Company. The criminal case instituted under the Article 178.3.2 (fraud with infliction of the harm in big amount), and he is not allowed to leave the county.

The investigators suspect that Ch. Mammadov sold to the customers the same  flats in a house that was built in Khojali avenue 29 and has caused the harm in amount of 641,000 manats.

Currently, there is continuing investigative actions.

An Azerbaijani court has senteced journalist Afgan Mukhtarli to a 3-month pretrial detention, APA reports.

Mukhtarli was detained by officers of the State Border Service at 22:40 (local time) on May 29 in the territory of Balakan district after illegally crossing the Azerbaijani border. At the time of his detention, Mukhtarli showed resistance. During the inspection, a large sum of money was found on him.

He is accused under Articles 318 (illegal border crossing), 206 (smuggling) and 315.2 (Resistance or application of violence concerning the representative of authority) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
