It was noted that this year it is planned to provide another 1,500 apartments and private houses to the families of martyrs and people with disabilities due to the war.

The work done and upcoming tasks were discussed at the meeting.

A 68-year-old resident of Baku, Karlen Iskenderov, suspected of committing fraud, was detained in Gakh, Report informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Previously repeatedly convicted of similar crimes, K. Iskenderov is accused of embezzling about 100 thousand manats from citizens with false promises to get them jobs in various government agencies.

By a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against him; the investigation continues.

Citizens affected by Iskenderov’s actions are asked to contact service 102 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the local police department.

A drug courier who was trying to sell a large amount of drugs was detained in the Sheki region. As Report was informed in the Sheki regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police officers detained a resident of the Shamkir district, Shirkhan Mukhtarov, who was previously convicted in the Russian Federation for robbery and theft.

He was found to have 7 kg of marijuana, 600 grams. heroin, half a kilogram of methamphetamine and 120 packs of methadone tablets.

During the investigation, it turned out that Shirkhan Mukhtarov agreed to come to the Sheki region and take the drugs hidden there to the city of Baku for money. It is noted that the drugs were delivered to Azerbaijan from abroad.

A criminal case has been opened into the matter and the investigation is ongoing.
