Guidelines for Authors

Articles are accepted to publishing in Azerbaijani, English or Russian, which have never been published. 

The text should be typed in a text editor Word 1997-2003 or 2007, font Times New Roman, font size – 14, line spacing – 1.5, indent – 1.0 cm, margins top – 2.0 cm, bottom – 1.0 cm, left – 3.0 cm, right – 1.5 cm, the numbering Broken pages, starting with the first.

Tables are presented in Word. Tables in the text should be numbered and have captions placed over the table.

The volume of copyright material taking into account annotations, keywords, notes, and bibliography should be from 6 to 15 pages.

Each scientific article should contain the following information:

– Full name of the author;

– Degree, academic rank (if applicable);

– A work place (or place of study);

– Contact details (postal address, e-mail, phone);

– Title of the article;

– An abstract (in original language and obligatory in English)on a relevance and novelty of the topic, main aspects of content;

– Keywords (in original language and obligatory in English) for content of an article.

References to the sources used are given after quotations in square brackets indicating the serial number of source citation, volume (issue, part, etc.) and page, for example [1, v.2, p. 25] or by page. Bibliographical references are located after the text of article is numbered (starting with the first number) and shall be in alphabetical order. Under the same number is acceptable to specify only one source. When referring to data from the Internet, e-mail address specified primary source of information and the date of treatment.

Articles that have no references are not accepted and examined.

Abstract to a paper (author’s resume) is called to perform a function of independent on the article a source of information and should:

  • describe main objectives of research;
  • explain how was conducted the study, without methodological details;
  • summarize the more important results and their significance;
  • not less 200-250 words.

Abstract should not contain references to literature and abbreviations.

Abstract has to state essential facts of the work and has not exaggerate or contain material, which is absent in the main part of publication.

It is wellcomed a structure of the abstract that reiterates the structure of a paper and includes introduction, aims and objectives, methods, results/discussion, conclusions.

Results of work are described very clearly and informatively. There are conducted theoretical and experimental results, actual data, found interties and regularities. Preferences are given to new results and data of long-term meaning, significant discoveries, conclusions, which refute existed theories, and also to data, which, on opinion of author, have practical importance.

Conclusions might be accompanied with recommendations, assessments, proposals, hypothesis, described in the article.

Data contained in a title of the paper should not be reiterated in the text of abstract.

Text of the abstract should be used syntactic constructions, inherent to language of scientific and technical documents, avoid a complicated grammatical constructions.

Text of the abstract should be laconic and legible, free from backround information, extra introductory words, common and non-significant formulations.

Text should be coherent, disjointed stated provisions have logically to follow up one from other.   

Retractions and conventional designations, except generally used, are applied in extreme cases or give their decoding and determination at first using in author’s resume.

There are no made references into a number of publication in the references’ list.

Keywords (author’s keywords) have to reflect main content of the article whenever possible not to reiterate terms of the title and abstract, to use terms from the text, and also terms determining subject area and including other important notions, which will allow making easy and extending an opportunity of search of the paper with means of informational searching system.

References’ list in Roman is prepared separately from list of literature or followed the list, or together with other English-language part placed beyond article. It is not allowed to mix Russian and English language part in one reference and the same not to abbreviate Russian-language list of literature, transmitting all English-language in References.

Description of article (reference) in References should consist on data:

  • authors (transliteration);
  • [translation of a paper’s title in English in square brackets];
  • Title of Russian language source (transliteration);
  • [translation of source’s title into English – paraphrase (it may not to be done for journals)];
  • Publisher’s imprint with designations in English or only digital (the latter in dependence on applied standard of description);
  • indication of paper’s language (in Russ.) after description of article.

Being received recommendations of editorial office on necessity of retraction of article or correction of mistakes take you time to perform them.

Carefully read recommendations and if you are not agreed with them, please write to editorial office, being justified your objections.

In case of consent with recommendation on retraction of article, do it for account of reduction of citations’ volume replacing them with brief annotations.

Article might also be retracted with exclusion repetitive assertions from it.
